JobTrials is a new community interest company that supports out of work adults to become job ready. We have been successful in the Clitheroe area and would like to use the same approach in Longridge. We meet people on a one to one basis to identify needs, we then invite them onto a six week workshop which includes devising CV and covering letters. Every other week we have AQA accreditation programmes which include basic health and safety, job application skills and customer service skills. After the six week workshop we continue to work with the adults to provide them with the opportunity to either participate in work experience placements, mentoring, further training etc...
I'm therefore requesting people to contact me if they feel there is a need for a workshop (free of charge) in Longridge and if any employers wish to engage with us to provide work experience opportunities to out of work adults (again free of charge) Seasons greetings Liz Cook 07964435464 liz@jobtrials.org.uk |

Good start: nice to see a website for Longridge.
The list of restaurants needs to be updated - I believe Victoria's India is Kaput. Of course this site needs to be a two-way street and encourage residents to communicate - but this wetpaint thing is abysmally clunky and polluted with inappropriate advertising, I am using bit only as there does not appear to be any way to email you. You might care to email me and perhaps I can help create somethjing better. Also, you might care to add a link to the Whitechapel & Inglewhite Blog: http://inglewhite.net/wiceblog/ we often link to Longridge sites, and now that I know of yours I will be adding a link to you. It is easy to contact us via our blog. rgds, Nick |
